Sounds of Spirit Lake Concert Series

Venue Information

Find answers to common questions about the concert series, including when and where it takes place and what to bring for a comfortable evening by the lake.

  • Where is the concert location?

All concerts are held outdoors on the lakeside stage in downtown Menahga, Minnesota, overlooking Spirit Lake. The setting offers grassy areas and closed streets for seating. Follow signs from Highway 71 to 1st St SW.

  • What happens if it rains?

In the event that our wonderful Minnesota weather isn't conducive to an outdoor concert, the concert will be held in the new gym in the Menahga High School, located one block West on Highway 71. Enter from the South door off 3rd St. SE.

  • When are the concerts held?

Concerts take place on Friday nights from the last week of June through August. Shows start at 7 PM and usually run for about two hours. Check the schedule for exact concert dates.

  • What should I bring to the concert?

Bring your own lawn chair or blanket for seating. Consider insect repellent, water, and light jackets for cooler evenings. Food and drinks are available from local vendors nearby.
  • Is there an admission fee?

No, all Sounds of Spirit Lake concerts are free to attend, made possible by local sponsors and community support. Donations are accepted during the concert and during intermission.

  • Where should we park?

Parking is available at the Spirit Lake Beach area, along streets, and in the Menahga School parking lot on Highway 71. There is no reserved parking, so come early enough to find a close spot or expect to walk a block or two.
